In a major push to improve local infrastructure, the Kunimalla Municipality has launched a comprehensive development plan in Ward 7, with approximately ₹ 5.8 crores allocated for road and drainage works. With these funds, the municipality will undertake new road construction, repair existing carriageways and significantly upgrade the storm-water drainage system.
The project aims to tackle persistent issues such as water-logging during the rainy season and poor surface conditions that make daily commuting difficult for residents. By upgrading both roads and drainage, the twin benefits of better mobility and safer, cleaner water disposal are expected.
Local elected reps, municipal engineers, and community stakeholders are working together to ensure the project is executed efficiently and transparently. The authorities have asked residents to stay informed and participate, ensuring that work progresses and disruptions are minimized.
