In this YouTube Short video , BJP MLA for Adoni city, Dr. Parthasarathi, highlighted a major concern regarding the operations of Document Writers located near the Sub-Registrar’s office in Adoni.
The town of Adoni is currently facing a complex public safety issue that pits essential public services against emergency response readiness.
The Heart of the Conflict
The issue, raised by local elders and civic society, is straightforward:
- The Document Writers, a long-time community service provider, have set up small stalls and businesses right in front of the Sub-Registrar’s office entrance.
- The Fire Engine office is situated just behind this place.
- Vehicles of people coming to the writers for registration and documentation are parked in such a manner that they entirely obstruct the exit route of the fire truck.
- Blocking the fire truck’s path is a direct threat to public safety; any resulting delay will lead to a major tragedy.
The document writers argue that they need toset uptheir stalls near the Sub-Registrar’s office to provide timely and accessible service to the public.
The Critical Safety Hazard
However, the local community warns that this arrangement poses an extreme danger. Should a fire break out anywhere in the town, the inability of the fire engine to exit immediately could lead to a major disaster. The speaker noted that a delay of even half an hour could lead to tragic outcomes and major accidents.
Dr. Parthasarathi pointed out the seriousness of the matter by saying that in case a tragedy happens and the fire truck cannot come out in time, the whole blame would be on everyone, including the local MLA, for their lack of promptness in action.
A Call for Community Responsibility
Recognizing the fact that the document writers are highly regarded individuals in the community and that their contribution is of great value, Dr. Parthasarathi gave a clear message: the duty to solve this issue is upon the document writers.
He urged the document writers to find a solution that both parties agree on to make sure the fire truck path is clear all the time. As community stakeholders, he insists that they must prioritize the safety of the entire town.
He concluded by assuring them that he stands ready to provide any necessary support or assistance they might require to resolve this critical issue.
