In a powerful public address, Adoni MLA Parthasarathi reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the singular demand of establishing Adoni as a district. He made it clear that this goal is non-negotiable and something he will achieve for the people.
The Core Demand
The MLA’s core platform centers on two key points:
- Adoni Must Be a District: He stated, “For today and for any day, the word I speak as long as there is life in my throat is this: Adoni must be made a district. Adoni must be made a district.”
- Four New Mandals: The proposed district structure must include the division of Adoni into four new mandals. Critically, this includes making village Pedda Harivanam and Pedda Tummal mandals, with two other villages to be determined.
Proactive Efforts and Timeline
MLA Parthasarathi sought to demonstrate that he is actively working on this issue and not waiting for the administration to respond. He highlighted the proactive steps he has already taken:
- September 10th Appeals: He informed the gathering that he submitted comprehensive appeal letters to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Revenue Minister on September 10th.
- Proof of Commitment: He pointed out that his action came well before the community formally submitted their own request, which was dated November 28th.
- Countering Doubts: The MLA stated he wrote the letters immediately after speaking on the matter in the Assembly, specifically to counter any claims that the government was unaware of the local demands.
“Whether you wrote or not… as the MLA who won with your blessings, I wrote the letters first on behalf of all of you… I am also giving a copy of that to your villagers.”
Pledge to the People
The MLA concluded by sharing copies of his official letters with the community, including village elders, reinforcing his promise:
“I assure all of you that I will certainly achieve this, no matter when.”
