Exciting things are happening in our schools, and it’s all thanks to some really smart changes brought in by our Minister, Nara Lokesh.
Parents and Teachers Working Together
Remember how in private schools, parents always meet with teachers to talk about how their kids are doing? Well, now it’s happening in ALL government schools across our state! This month, on the 5th, there’s a huge Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) everywhere. It’s the second big one like this, and it’s so important because it helps parents and teachers work together to help students succeed.
It means teachers can tell parents about their child’s marks, how they’re progressing, and if they need any extra help. It’s all about making sure every child gets the attention they need. I even got a special invitation to one of these meetings from the children themselves, which was really sweet!
No More Lost Papers: The New Assessment Book!
Another cool change is how we keep track of student progress. Before, test papers would sometimes get lost or thrown away. But now, all tests, assignments, and exam scores (like quarterly and half-yearly) are written down in one special book called the “Assessment Book.”
This is brilliant because it’s like a complete story of a child’s learning journey! You can easily see how they did in their first test, then the next, and so on. It makes it much easier to see if a child is learning well or if they need extra support.
Dr. Parthasarathi, who was speaking in a video, praised these changes a lot. He said they are “revolutionary,” which means they are making a really big and positive difference.
