The use of illegal drugs and intoxicants has sadly spread into towns and villages across Andhra Pradesh, including Adoni. Recognizing the serious threat this poses to youth and public health, the new coalition government—under the leadership of CM Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and PM Narendra Modi—has launched a bold initiative to wipe out drug use and trafficking.
A statewide anti-drug awareness rally was conducted at 4 PM across all 175 constituencies, including Adoni. Leaders, officials, and police officers walked alongside students and citizens to raise awareness.
A new enforcement unit called “EAGLE” has been established to crack down on drug dealers and transporters. Citizens are urged to report any suspicious activity—whether near schools, pan shops, or public places. Those found selling or distributing drugs will face strict action, and addicts will be guided towards rehabilitation.
Adoni aims to become a drug-free town, and with public support, that goal is within reach.
