On Constitution Day, something truly special happened in Adoni, thanks to our current MLA, Dr. Parthasarathi. He organized a wonderful event to celebrate and inspire the next generation by recognizing the achievements of a talented high school student named K. Gowthami.
Gowthami, a 10th-standard student at Municipal High School, was chosen for a unique program: she got to experience life as a representative! For one day, she sat in the Assembly, taking the MLA’s seat for Adoni.
From School to Assembly
During her day as the “MLA,” Gowthami took the opportunity to speak up for her town. She highlighted local problems and presented issues to various political leaders, including Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. She did such a fantastic job that the current MLA felt immense pride and joy.
Dr. Parthasarathi, who is known for speaking up for Adoni and Kurnool district problems most often in the Assembly, emphasized that this program is crucial. By taking one deserving student from each constituency for this experience, it is meant to build interest, enthusiasm, and confidence in young people about their future role in public service.
The Honor and the Advice
Upon her return, Gowthami was honored with a special medal and a certificate of appreciation by the teachers and headmaster.
MLA Dr. Parthasarathi gave Gowthami, and all the youth, some very important advice. While he wishes her to become the MLA of Adoni one day, he urges her to first focus completely on her education and career. He shared his own journey, where he first studied to become a doctor, practiced, and only then entered politics. He encouraged Gowthami to follow a similar path: get a good job or start a good business, and then step into public life.
The MLA concluded his heartfelt wishes for Gowthami’s success with a lighthearted joke, telling her, “I wholeheartedly wish that you eventually become the MLA of Adoni… but don’t worry, for 25 years, I will be the MLA; only after that will the position be vacant!”
It was a day full of inspiration and a clear message: the future of Adoni is bright, and its youth are ready for leadership!
