The growing demand for Kasturba Gandhi schools and Gurukul institutions in our region, especially in Adoni and surrounding areas, is unlike anywhere else. Despite proposing 13 new schools, the approval and allotment have not matched the need. We urge the concerned authorities to prioritize these proposals.
Meanwhile, under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 25% of seats in private schools must be reserved for underprivileged students. Unfortunately, many well-known private schools are failing to comply. While over 260 schools have already received notices, stricter enforcement is required — especially in regions like Adoni, Alur, and Maddikonda, where awareness is still low, and chances of exploitation are high.
Authorities must take firm action against violations and ensure every child gets their right to education.
