In the town of Adoni, a young man named Shravan Kumar rides his bicycle from street to street, supplying small grocery and kirana shops with daily goods — biscuits, snacks, and candies. Every day, he cycles through the villages selling small packets of biscuits, Halls, Vicks, Kurkure, and Bingo chips.
Recently, Shravan happily shared how the central government’s tax reductions have positively impacted both his business and the everyday lives of common people.
Shravan said:
“Earlier, a small biscuit packet cost ₹1. Now, after the tax cut, I can sell it for ₹4.50 per pack instead of ₹5. Even the ₹10 packets are now ₹9. For chips like Bingo and Kurkure, they have increased the number of chips inside while keeping the price the same. This has really helped us and our customers.”
His words reflect a simple truth — when taxes go down, the benefits can truly reach the grassroots level. Small traders like Shravan are not only experiencing the positive effects but are also ensuring that the savings reach consumers directly.
This real-life story shows that effective government policies can bring genuine relief to the common man. The reduction in taxes on essential goods has made everyday items more affordable and has boosted the morale of small vendors across India.
