A recent discussion has brought a serious issue to light in Nizamuddin Colony, Ward 40, where poor residents are fighting for the land they were promised. This is a story of missing documents, money paid, and a promise that hasn’t been kept for many families.

The Core Problem: 29 Missing Land Deeds

    • The Promise: 160 women in the colony applied for housing land deeds (pattalu), and 40 of these applications were officially approved (sanctioned).
    • The Reality: Out of the 40 approved deeds, only 11 have actually been given to the rightful owners.
    • The Mystery: A total of 29 land deeds are missing! The residents were given only some paper receipts and asked to pay a large amount—up to ₹25,000 per deed—and they are even paying interest on loans for these properties.

Who Has the Missing Deeds?

The most shocking part of the issue is the claim made by the residents: they believe the missing 29 land deeds are being held by a local YSRCP political figure. This suggests that politics is interfering with the housing meant for the needy.

Action is Being Taken

Upon hearing these serious claims, MLA Dr. Parthasarathi immediately stepped in. He made a clear commitment to the people:

    1. Find the Missing Deeds: His first priority is to investigate and locate the 29 land deeds that are allegedly being held by the politician. He promised to recover them and make sure they are delivered to the 29 rightful families.
    2. Help the Others: Beyond the 40 sanctioned deeds, there are 80 other applicants still waiting for a land plot. The MLA also promised to find a suitable location and try to arrange land deeds for these remaining 80 families.

This situation highlights the struggle of poor residents when promised government benefits are allegedly blocked by political influence. The community now awaits the promised action to ensure justice and housing for all eligible families.
