Today marks a significant day for the Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) as it celebrates its 31st anniversary — a movement that has fought relentlessly for justice and equality within Scheduled Castes.
On this occasion, we also honor the birthday of Mandakrishna Madiga, the powerful voice behind the MRPS movement. His dedication led to the realization of the SC A, B, C, D categorization, helping to address injustices faced by marginalized sub-castes.
In Adoni, MRPS leaders and locals united to hoist the MRPS flag and perform paalabhishekam to his portrait, expressing deep respect and inspiration. Mandakrishna Madiga’s voice continues to empower the voiceless – from the poor and differently-abled to the sick and oppressed.
We, the people of Adoni, wish him a long, healthy life. We also reaffirm our commitment to ensure the implementation of ABCD reservations in education and employment, as recently announced by the government.
