Today marks the beginning of the Islamic New Year and the sacred month of Muharram. Just as Ugadi is celebrated by Hindus as a New Year, and January 1st is recognized as the start of the calendar year, this day holds deep spiritual significance for our Muslim brothers and sisters.
On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt New Year wishes to the Muslim community of Adoni. Muharram reminds us of the values of sacrifice, faith, and unity. Over the next 10 days, as traditions are observed, let us all come together in harmony and respect.
In Adoni, development continues steadily—roads are being laid, clean water through LLS canal works is progressing, schools have reopened, and schemes like ‘Talliki Vandhanam’ are benefiting every child. Across all communities, the government is ensuring inclusive progress.
Let us celebrate this new year with peace, prayer, and unity. In Adoni, Hindus and Muslims always share in each other’s festivals. May this year bring prosperity and happiness to every home.
