The State Cancer Hospital in Kurnool has officially been inaugurated, thanks to the joint efforts of the State and Central Governments. With cancer cases rising and treatment costs becoming unaffordable for many, this hospital brings much-needed relief to poor and middle-class families.
Though planned in 2018 with ₹124 crore funding (60% Central, 40% State), the project was delayed due to the previous government’s inaction. The current coalition government completed it within just 9 months after coming to power. Special thanks to CM Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Shri Satya Kumar for their dedication.
This hospital is a major step forward in providing affordable cancer care across Andhra Pradesh.
