The government has started providing ₹20,000 as livelihood assistance to fishermen during the two-month fishing ban season (April 15 to June 15) when fishing activities are restricted to allow fish to breed and grow. This important initiative, launched by CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, fulfills the election promise to double the previous assistance from ₹10,000 to ₹20,000, ensuring better support for fishermen and their families.
