The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated ₹47,500 crores for the welfare of Backward Classes (BC), a major step toward fairness and development. The central government has also strengthened BC rights by giving constitutional status to the BC Commission and ensuring 27% job reservations for OBCs in medical exams and colleges. I urged the state to set up its own BC Commission with constitutional authority and ensure transparency in fund usage. The government’s loan programs for BC communities are helpful, but more investment is needed. Supporting BCs is not just about justice—it’s about creating a stronger, more inclusive Andhra Pradesh.
