Today, Adoni mourns the untimely loss of Govindarajulu Garu, a respected Dalit leader and dedicated public servant. He was not only a strong voice in the MRPS reservation movement, but also served the people with deep commitment as a councillor from YSRCP.
His life was a constant struggle for justice, especially for the marginalized. Despite political affiliation, his service transcended party lines, earning him love and respect across communities. He stood firm for Madiga reservations, fought fearlessly in countless movements, and inspired many in the Dalit community.
His passing is a major loss to Adoni and the larger Dalit movement across Kurnool region. Today, people from all walks of life gathered to pay their last respects. His journey, his battles, and his legacy will continue to inspire.
