A serious allegation of corruption has surfaced from one of the most sacred temples in the world — Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). During the previous YSRCP government, under CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, a major theft case involving TTD’s counting room (Parakamani) came to light.
On April 29, 2023, a Mutt employee named Ravi Kumar was caught with $112 inside the temple premises. But out of 112 notes, only 9 were recovered — raising suspicion of larger, systematic theft. Investigations revealed he had been stealing for over 20 years, amassing hundreds of crores in assets across multiple cities.
Shockingly, instead of strict action, 14.43 crore worth properties in Ravi Kumar’s family names were “donated” to TTD just 20 days after the theft — with no public announcement or due process.
Three months later, a Lok Adalat settlement quietly closed the case, and even the CCTV footage was allegedly erased. A Vigilance Officer admitted in writing that police pressure forced them to settle the case.
Only after a devotee approached the High Court, the Lok Adalat settlement was cancelled, and a CB-CID probe was ordered.
This raises a serious question — Are devotees’ offerings reaching the Lord, or ending up in the hands of the corrupt? Crores of devotees offer their faith and money, expecting divine sanctity and transparency.
This issue is not just about money — it’s about faith. We demand a deep investigation and strict punishment for those involved. Devotees across the globe deserve to know the truth.
