In Adoni, over 200 acres of cotton fields were destroyed—not by drought, but by stagnant water. Farmers repeatedly pleaded with local leaders and officials to clear drainage paths, but their voices were ignored.
A former MLA, instead of helping, mocked and dismissed the farmers. When questioned, he coldly responded, “Sell it if you can’t handle it”. His alleged intention? Let the land devalue due to waterlogging, then buy it cheap.
This is not just land—it’s ancestral property, the blood and sweat of generations.
Now, farmers are rising. They are no longer afraid of political bullies. Support is growing. Officials have promised action. If justice is delayed again, the issue will be raised in the Assembly on the 18th.
This is not just about 200 acres. This is about dignity, justice, and the right to protect one’s livelihood.
