With a trembling voice, he explained,
“Sir, I’ve already submitted all the necessary documents. When I went to get the records verified, they told me I should get admitted. But I live alone, sir — there’s no one in my house. My family is gone. I have no wife, no children. My nephew visits at night to help me lie down, and in the morning, he helps me sit up again before leaving. Somehow, I manage to get through the day. I receive a ₹6,000 pension every month, but I can’t take care of myself. Will the government arrange someone to look after me?”
After listeningto his distress,the response from BJP MLA Dr. Parthasarathi was immediate and comprehensive. Recognizing the man’s dire need for hospitalization and assistance, he made a solemn promise: “We will take responsibility for your health until you get better.”
Rather than just admitting him and leaving his needs to chance, Dr. Parthasarathiassured the man that he would be provided with a dedicated Assistant and Nursing staff at the hospital to ensure he faced absolutely no difficulty during his stay.
Furthermore, he promised to personally speak with the hospital’s Superintendent and doctor to guarantee he receives specialized care. To ensure accountability, his Personal Assistant will keep in touch daily, monitoring the man’s progress and well-being.
